In need of a Contour SVT!

yeah, not currently working (blew the belt)

i wouldnt sell the supercharger or the nitrous on it unless i get more for it...but all the other bolt ons would stay.
 
it's still for sale! i'm going to upgrade to a cobra.....

Tricker if I had actually seen this thread sooner I would have totally bought yours instead of my completely stock one. maybe paid the extra for the supercharger and blower. unless, of course you wanna trade for mine (it's only got 108K!! :laugh: ) :crazy:
 
i would if i wasnt getting a motor to refresh with only 50k on it. new bearings, rings, and gaskets, and i'm off! upgraded ring lands too :D if someone buys the car i might just go buy another one that is already swapped out, or buy a blown up one and get chris to help me get running ;)

well if you can ever make it out to Omaha then I guess I'll provide all three, drinks depending on what time it is and how much concentration the job takes, of course.:laugh:
 
Tricker I've been meaning to ask you. I see you have lots of mods on your vehicle. What kind of performance does your car make and how many problems do you have to deal with. If it sounds good I might go SC like you did.
 
everything has its problems. the worst of the problems being the exhaust and the supercharger. i think i have the supercharger figured out but i have not put the belt back on it because i'm waiting for nicer weather. with just bolt ons and nitrous, no tune, bad clutch, 75 shot.....i made 258HP peak and 268 trq. the clutch was burnin up bad. my air/fuel was at 9.5:1 as well. it's at 11.5:1 ON the bottle now, and i have a new clutch. the exhaust is better also, and i'm running a 100 shot now. it'll probalby push toward 280-300 now. i cant guarantee that but i'm fairly confident it makes much more power. with the blower and the rebuilt engine i plan on making 250ish all blower, with a 75 shot on top of that for the track. i'll let you know how the supercharger works out. :)
 
that does sound very nice. Once I get myself established financially I'd like to start work on it that would give those imports a run for their money at the very least :cool:
 
just the bottle puts 90% of the imports to shame..... just something to keep in mind. it's cheaper, but not in the long run. refills are a pain.

I'm sure there is a good amount of prep work to be done before my engine can withstand a spray of Nitros and not have something break and/or shatter.
