Is it just me?

There are those little stalk things with a torx hole on the top. Use the bubbles in the aiming thing to adjust correctly. Remember that those will only adjust up and down.

there is another torx adjuster set farther to the side of the car not next to the bubble that adjusts the lamp left and right.

Correct, but there is no way to accurately measure this adjustment, short of using a wall 25ft away or just a road test. I wouldn't recommend standing in the middle of a road in the dark adjusting your headlights though lol.

on the back of the light theres a adjustment gauge for that. you start at 0, IIRC there a L and R on it as well.

Yes but it may not work if his mounts are broken.

I have no idea how to adjust the headlights. So how do the adjust the adjustment guauge?

Park the car on flat ground. You'll need (IIRC) a 7mm socket wrench. Take a look at the little bubbles on top of the headlights. Those need to be in the zero range... turn the 7mm bolt until it centers in there.
