It's snowing..

I always rolled with an all season and I lived on a very steep hill. I used to pass 4 wheel drives on that hill so I'm anxious to see how different snows are.

best I can discribe, you can drive down a snow covered road, abet at a reduced speed and its like driving down the road in the summer ... this is how my father once discribed it to me ...

lets put it this way also, over half worn or more snow tires gripped better then the all season I had that where less then half worn ...

now in the rain that is a different story, I hate snow tires in the rain ...

If we get some real measurable snow it would be nice so I can compare. Of course the road I live on has no salt today so I'll see if there is any difference.
It will a bit of a comparison, light snow/heavy snow with snows vs the same with all seasons.

Honestly, I drove about the same in the snow with the all seasons, a bit slower. This will be interesting.

All tucked away in the garage for winter.
You put the Mystique wheels on the Contour and the Contour wheels on the Mystique? :D

yeah the car gets tucked away in a garage this winter ... only sad part about why I can do it is my grandmother is to old and just about blind so she can't drive anymore and we sold her car (90 Crown Vic, and it was mint) ... but it allowed my parents to store the new Mustang when they got it last January before re arranging the garage at home to fit it ... plus side, I see my grandmother just about every weekend now

you got it ... when I got the contour the tires where cheap and shot ... I wanted some new larger wheels in the spring so we got snows on the stock wheels and I got my FSVT wheels in the spring.

So I swap the Mystique wheels onto the contour so I can take the FSVT wheels off after I put the snow tires on the Mystique ... then back in the spring ...

my father also has a set of the same wheels with snow tires for his 95 and same for the other 99, although is still has the same stock wheels with all season on them

That's nice that you get to see your grandmother every weekend. I bet that means a lot to her, and you, that you can see each other so often. :)

There's a whole lot of wheel swapping going on up there in CT. :D

By the time I got to leave the today, the snow was melted. :( I wanted to try them out.
Next time.

this frickin' winter is screwing with people big time. they normally wouldn't have been on , but like the week before you took the car it was like 80 degrees!

still i wasn't expecting all the snow we've been getting. it's not much here, but enough that they're salting the roads. a few days ago i actually thought to myself - man, i gotta get those rims off the car. lol!

BTW, did you get that "package" i sent you?? should be there any day now.
