Mach1 lip say wha?

At first I was like eh...then you posted more pix and my imagination kicked in for the fresh painted bumper and thought mmmm tasty and different. :drool:
I like it!
 
I'd like to see how it looks with the bumper and splitter painted. I dig the look of the mirko's but I cant see paying mirko prices for a piece of fiberglass that will last 2 seconds driving on MI roads... not to mention since there isn't a great alternative you look like everyone else that has a mirko (not a bad look tho)

I will say I liked the look of it when Tyler came over my place. I mean yes it's no Mirko like what I have, but it's also less then half the price. I like the fact that it's more robust then a Mirko, but unlike the garage door sealer (I have some of that too) it will hold it's shape at highway speeds.

Bottom line... it's another option for people with SVT's for a lip front spoiler/splitter love it or hate it.
 
i'm glad i got everyone's opinion on it anyhow. thanks for the love/hate.

now i will say, this would look sick on a AAS bumper because they are smoother flowing on the front (but you gotta fill those stupid side louvers on those AAS bumpers)


and i'm sorry, this thing is worlds better than a "home depot" lip.

yeah crazytalk, maybe we should meet up and you can see what you think. i bet with paint, or molded, it would be cool. i know you have way more ability than i do and could probably make it look like something that actually belongs there.
 
I don't think they would work with the AAS bumper either. Dont ask why I forgot to fill the stupid side louvers either. I never even cut them out to make them functional. I guess I just got lazy when it came to the front bumper.

Although I think it is fine on the SVT bumper. You could leave the lip unpainted but yeah, your bumper definately needs some love. It seems like it would be functional at least and it is a kinda nostalgic look. Don't mold that lip though. It would look like :censored::censored::censored::censored:. Then you would really have people flaming you for the look.
 
Give yourself some credit. For one, you did a fine job on fitting it. Its just different and so people who are building cookie cutter svt's won't appreciate it.

I think it looks good. It's definitely different and unique. Although now I'm wondering if it would look better on a post-98 SE since the bumper doesn't have the two curves at the bottom like the SVT... :ponder:
 
I like it! it'll deffinantly look 10x's better when it's all painted up to match with the bumper respray as well! GJ... love Mach1 lips, they're soo versital, they look god on almost everything you put'em on.

i think a lowered SE with this lip would be waaay better looking than it does on my car.

i do agree that this isnt the best option. but hell, just today, i flexed the thing almost all teh way under my front bumper coming off my friends driveway, and it still looks like new. can't do that with a mirko lol
