Anyone install these mufflers on a SVTC?

Im hoping the tips are long enough to clear the rear bumper, which is why i am asking!

Well, doesnt matter, I changed my mind yet again:

I went with a pair of:

and a pair of:

35124.jpg

So I can hide the mufflers, and only see the tip, which was the exact same price as jsut the two other mufflers with tips (the new mufflers arent polished) but I think it will look better!

Anyone else do this? Would love to see pics!

nobody else has installed different mufflers where the stock ones are and ran tips back to the end?

People have, try searching for them on the old forum.

Thanks for your help Harrry! Its so nice to have a new forum, when half the time people jsut tell you to search the old forums, instead of people actually posting new, and up to date information, even if its the same!

I thought we had a new forum for a reason, why did we change?

And now we are going to get another redesign, but whats the point, everyone is just going to say, check the newer old forums!

I know what you mean man, this has been frustrating me as well. Plus most of the pictures on the "old forums" don't show up.

Well, I have jsut spent over 3 hours searching for someone who had mounted mufflers in stock locations, and then ran piping back to tips on the old forums, to no avail!

So if anyone has pics of this, it would be awesome!

You must understand the stock svt mufflers flow pretty good already. Which is why most people don't replace them. Only thing people replace them with is the round muffler style that have a resonator insert style mesh screen. Its pretty much the next step up mod over the stock mufflers for more flow.

So don't get all pissy that people don't spend there time looking for your answer. When you are more than capable to use the internet and search like ME and everyone else on ceg does as.

Other than that buy what you want and install it the way you like:shrug:

I just got done thinking about this which makes me laugh.

How did you miss searching demonsvt setup. One of the best true duel exhaust kits ever made:shrug:

You need to relax. There is no need to be a dick to people all the time.

As far as aI understand, the NEW forum will utilize the info from both of the older forums.

First of all, when am I a dick to people "all the time?" People get told all the time to search the old forums... and as there may be good stuff there, if I had searched(which I did) and found exactly what I was looking for (still haven't), what good does it do if it isn't posted in the NEW forums for the masses to see without having to search old forums?!

The problem with the true duals he is showing me is that the tips are angled down, and all I was looking for was someone how had mounted magnaflow (or like them) mufflers in the stock location, and then piped down to tips... not just angled the tips down to hide the muffler.

Secondly, I wasn't in the least bit out of line, nor was I anything but relaxed. If you don't have any information pertaining to what I was looking for, why post.

So my search is still on for what I am looking for, so if anyone can help me, it would be great, if not, I will post pics when i get mine done so as we have this information available!

You never mentioned before this thread why you needed information for aligning the new exhaust tips
You must retain the svt tailpipe bends and just add your new tips on them.

And no offense you sounded like a newbie crying about needing help on this forum. You first joined when the old forum was around. So i don't see why your complaining so much. You can always go over to fordcontour.org forum:shrug:

I had the mufflers that your first posted. They were the ones on my car when I flew past you with my nitrous setup! They sounded great and I really loved them. I don't know anything about the other mufflers and tips you posted.

Try read the second post in this thread... I asked about hiding the mufflers and making it so only the tips are shown...

I could go to fordcontour.org sure, but why would I want to, I have been here for a long time...

Also, I didnt ask people to look for my answer, I asked if anyone had done this, and if they had, if they had pictures... Also, proper grammer next time, please?

Ahh, chances are good someone has that setup someplace on here, but theres a better chance its not posted on this website, so your out of luck.

You just have to you hope for the best, its pretty hard to mess up the sound of that quad cammed V6  and if i would have to guess I'd bet those mufflers will sound darn good too.

Edit I believe these are the tips - On Brapples car

Hope that helps.

You should take your own advice with all those comma's lol.

Sorry for sounding like a dick.

I do remember a few people on the old forum using these style muffles. I just don't remember who it was though. I know that doesn't help.

IMHO i think they would be perfect. If i had to replace my stock mufflers these would be my first choice.
