Not true Jim, I know a certain higher mileage 2.5 turbo that brought in more then 8 grand.

yea it was a high price. but the car didnt have a scratch just a dent above the passenger door. it just didnt have a crate motor thrown in. it was put in by ford and it had a a whole bunch of other crap done to it the body harness was even replaced. alsoooooo.. the transmission was new with barley any miles on it and that had warranty. the engine is still under warranty.
the drive axles were replaced the clutch all that brakes, brake rotors, fuel lines, brake lines, control arms, springs struts. basically a new car the engine and installation alone was over 7,000
but yea i said $8,000 obo. i really wanted 5,000 for it but if i put 5,000 i would get offers like 3,000 or 2,500 if i put 8,000 i would either not get a call or i would get offers like 5,000 or 4,500 in which i did i got a 4,500 and a 5,500 offer but my dad told me not to sell it at the time. it was my only car. then after it got beat up i wanted to sell it again. but since i got a job imma keep it.

^ true story...its just the fact that a bank will not finance more than 6,000 on a contour from what i've heard.

Only contours that are worth the money to me are super low mileage ones. I'd gladly pay what I payed again if another SVT popped up with 2179 miles!

So you waited 8 months to finally speak up on behalf of your car that was for sale?
And yes, the pricing theory is correct. Mine is listed for 7K with just over 42k miles. Aside from a couple of sales that fell through, most of the offers have been ridiculous. But, I am more than willing to sit on my price as I have no dire need to sell.

I met this guy, his car has a dent in every body panel, he even showed me a switch on the dash which turns on the brake lights, because they didn't work on their own
Rear bumper was broken, AAS front bumper cracked in multiple locations, interior was as dirty as it gets. Car needed a lot of work.

Yeah, I've seen it too and that pretty much sums up the condition. A LOT of work.

yea you seen the car what a little over a month ago. I told everyone its beat now. When i wanted 8,000 IT WAS FINE, o and as far as it goes about me finally speaking on behalf of my car its because this thread didn't magically pop up in my user cp or inbox like it did 99% of you clowns.I kinda had to stumble upon it in a random search. sooooooo. THINK PEOPLE THINK. I don' have sex with contour.org like 88% of you guys i have this little thing called a life. and my contour is what gets me from point a to b in that lil thing called a life. its all material things. nothing is forever. and your a fool if you think so. but until then my contour will be fixed... no help to bagged for ripping me off my front bumper,, while aliasjerk sits over his cpu and talk about my AAS bumper, when i had a perfect oem svt bumper that's probably sitting behind baggeds garage, or sitting under a oval grille and headlights of a cegers ford contour. who knows probably only God.
O just for a quick example about how you people take contours a little to serious and how nothing is forever.
Rawburts sexy a** sf csvt turbo will probably get totaled by some drunk hill billy named otis driving a 89 ford bronco with four spear tires and more rust then a midwest contour rocker panel.. so YEA

I love contours and i respect everyone who has one and also loves them. I know my car needs alot alot alot of work but im in the process of fixing it up. you guys should respect that. No disrespect to bagged or any other ceger. im not trying to be an a hole. contour.org is the toughest forum i have ever been on. it seems like everyone bench presses over 600 pounds the way they talk. so i guess im just trying to defend my self to the best of my ability!
