Loven the hubcaps on the one side..New Style?..Engine looks clean.

they had 4 hub caps i took a pic of one side with hub caps. i had to loose all 4 hub caps cause they look ugly with them. i put my rims from my 99 contour on to this car. i paid 1500 from the dealer.
Dick: Lets play "Check that Harness!!!" What you must do is prop the hood open, inspect the wiring of the Radiator, battery, and fuel injectors, and thats it! Whats his prize Douche?
Douche: Well looks like we have a few prizes here Dick! The first one is a firm, self-inflicted, pat on the back for a already replaced harness! Next we have a good kick to the shin for paying way to much for something he has to fix/replace! And last but not least is a free trip to the mechanics shop (at tow trucks expense) to find out why his car is overheating so much! Back to you Dick!

But seriously check your harness for cracks and brittle wiring, because early contours (95-97) had a recall on the wiring harness. If so, ask the deal if they can replace it. If they won't it isn't that hard to replace and isn't the expensive.

Hey, hey it was a joke. I just don't want you to get scammed in buy a car that will have costly repairs down the road. I'm sure you checked everything out before you bought the car, its just that you could over look something that the dealer doesn't point out.

seein as there is no tach and it looks to be an auto shifter, i'd say its an atx

))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) it's an atx with 116k mileseven if it were an MTX, it probably wouldnt have a tach. The only Zetec Contiques to have a tach were the mystiques and the Contour Sports... NOT to be confused with the SE sport contours. Which had a duratec.

If the harness is cracked and the dealer still wont replace it, call the ford customer service number in the back of the owners manual. my 95 mystique fans caught fire at a gas station becouse of that problem and when I called the dealer they said no. I called ford and the said the dealer would do it. they put in new fans with the shroud, the whole harness, and while they were doing it they broke off a tranny cooler line in the radiator and also gave me a new radiator and new lines. all that while I had a loaner car for a week. all free too. check into it.
