My Roush Bondurant CSVT

Its a Contour it at worth **** no matter what it is. I say change the colors if you want, or put a honda engine in it, who cares.

Cool car though. Would like to see it up close.

It drives great, it's got more power and sits lower so it corners amazingly.

lol ok lets not go crazy here. far as i know it's only got some exhaust mods...and those miniscule gains are overshadowed by the weight of all the extra crap in it....the rollcage, fire stuff, etc.

You make baby Jesus cry.

And you make adult Jesus shake his head, then turn you into a sheep, and look the other way while a crazed goat farmer has his way with you. :nonono:

The Roush Contours are sweet the way they are, and should be left to their originally condition, or at least until it breaks or develops a large issue that would warrant a 3L swap! Rock that yellow beauty the way she is!

And you have a warped sense of reality. There cool cars, but not really that special. So because it has yellow paint, roll cage and a fuel cell its special  . Wake up kid. Don't get me wrong I like them and would by one as a good start to a track/autocross car. Its not a classic muscle car. Get out of ceg every once in a while. It won't be worth anything in 20/30/40 years, just like our svt's. If you want to keep it the way it is, because its different and a small part of Contour history, thats cool. But don't kid yourself.

Umm, lets see. 1 of 5 in existence, used at a professional racing school, and signed by Jack Roush himself. Yup, classifies as special to me.

Thanks for all the input everyone, I appreciate it. I will have some more pics posted on the FordContour.org by tomorrow night (Sunday). Have a great weekend, CJ

Wow great find, and the color really looks sweet on the CSVT, personally I'd leave it alone, less throwing on some matching jack pionts and E1 center caps. Do you know what color that is?

tell that to my future father in law. He never thought his 70 Shellby GT 500 Vert would be worth anything either, or his 69 Boss, or his 68 Fastback, or his 71 Torino.

The color is called PPG Yellow, I imagine PPG has more than one yellow and I am in the process of trying to find the correct paint code for some touch-ups

Why he bought a Bondurant Svt:confused: ? Those would be the classic muscle cars I was talking about, you know real collectors items. There's a difference between collector items and novelties. This car is a novelty. Now don't over look what I said, not hating on this guys car. I like them. Its cool and unique. Move on to another topic.

Lets see more pics.

but they weren't classic muscle then.

Lol you guys are funny. No they weren't classics than, of course, but they were still muscles cars. Contours are turds now and will be in 30 years still. Don't get your feelings hurt. Look at it like a Pinto, they were funny than, and there still funny now. But every once in a while you may see one now as a drag car or prostreet and say hmm thats pretty cool. But it still won't be worth squat. Thats what will happen here. Will still be Neat, to some, mostly us Cegers. Thats it I'm afraid. Understand?

... And if I'm wrong, in thirty years contact me and I will take that trout slap.

Somthing tells me I won't be getting that call, haha.

Well guess what? If everybody looked at it the same as you and just treated and drove their cars like every other one on the road, then guess whats gonna happen....... The few nice Contour SVT's that will be left will be worth a fortune cause there wont be many. :troutslap: :troutslap:

And as you may notice, back then, not everyone and their brother would hold onto a car for 50 years in hopes of it turning into a collector car. A few people did, and they now have a little nest egg sitting in their garage. Same with anything collectible like comic books, baseball cards, etc. Back then, people didn't expect the price of a baseball card to be worth $10k in 50 years. With these things being mass produced, and people holding onto things in hopes of them being a collector's item someday, it's not gonna happen. I'm with Livinsvt on this one, the car is cool, but it won't ever be a collector's item. The Saleen Contour is 1 of 1, and even if it were in 100% mint condition, is anyone ever going to pay the $20k pricetag they want for it? Nope!
