Name the model of this car

SOB:mad: AAARG off by one number!!!!! Damn i was at least close i guess:nonono:.

I want carpoon to verify, I couldn't find the same angle as his picture so I'm only about 98% positive it's the GT1 & since technically speaking they were only made about 25-30 examples total, not 25 per year as hinted. I could easily be wrong.

Told you you would kick yourself. But I couldnt give it to you for saying GT2, since they are nothing alike.

As far as the production #'s from what I was reading the qualifications stated 25 production units per model year. So it souned like 25 per year and this was produced for 3 years from '96-'98.

Actually GT1 required only 1 road going variant to be produced for every year that the car was raced. prime examples of this were the Elise GT1, Toyota GT-One & the Panoz Esperante GTR-1... anyway. I found this car inspiring for my choice so here we go.

This was also a road going homologation car, but the program was abandoned after only 3-4 cars were built when the owner of the company (who's name the car carries) suffered an untimely death.

No, It's not Italian or American

Enzo Ferrari didn't have an untimely death and Chaparral wasn't named for the companies owner as it was founded by Jim Hall and Hap Sharp in 1962.

If it's stock, and I'm assuming it is, then based on the lack of airbags it's probably from a smaller company. I'm feeling lotus, but the slope of the a-pillar is throwing me off.

notice the second shift lever in the center console. means it has selectable 4wd (of some kind) and would obviously not be a Lotus.
