So, about a week and a half ago we got a new GT500 in at the dealership, red w/ black stripes and I was pretty excited. Then today we get our first brand new M3, and I was kind of giddy. Plus the past 2 days we had our M5 and Alpina B7 sitting nose to tail for $219,000 worth of temptation, with the keys in them mind you. Needless to say, yesterday and I today I was running around like a kid in a candy store with my camera taking pics of all the new toys. I thought some of you here might like to see them, though I've posted some pics of the B7 before. Also, I have to apologize for the M3 pics with the doors, hood and trunk all opened, the tech was prepping it and had all the different wires hooked up. This thing was literally fresh off the truck, it hasn't even been washed yet. Anyhow, enough words, on to the pics. I know I have more than 10 so please allow me to make a couple posts before replying.
First up, the temptation I looked at for 2 days, the B7 is $122K and the M5 is $96....oh so sexy....

That is all, hope you guys enjoyed the pics.

IIRC redline is 8400, peak hp occurs at 8300. The tach is setup like the M5, where it increases when the engine warms up.

wait, so where the hell do you work again??

i assume 4500rpm isn't the redline either?

LOL, I work at Grand Traverse Auto, a Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, BMW, Mazda dealership in Traverse City.

I didn't get to drive the M3, it was just being prepped after delivery. Although one of the BMW techs used to work with me in my department before being moved into the BMW stuff, and he said he'd try to get me at least a ride. So far the nicest thing I've driven is one of the E46 M3's, but it had just had new rod bearings put in so I didn't rail it too hard.

In our BMW showroom, we now an M6, M5, M3 (I assume that's where it will end up) and old BMW racer (did BMW have the 2002 or the 1600...don't remember), plus the B7. The a regular 6 series vert in there that I assume will probably come out, and a nice 335 hardtop vert. We're the only BMW dealer north of Grand Rapids in MI, so we tend to get a lot of nice stuff.

New M3 pics....

Well guys, she was sitting outside today when I left, so I grabbed the camera and snapped a few more. Supposedly, the thing may be sold already. On to the good stuff though.

Personally, I think this one just looks evil....

it's just weird the way the pic looks, doesn't look liek that is a light or anything...looks like it's painted on there and it's not going to move!
