i would sure buy one and so would tons of other Americans.

Thats a good point and probably the reason it wont be sold in the US. First off, the top engine will be the inline 5 from the Focus ST with a turbo with 220hp, side and curtain bags will be standard, and I am sure navi. will be optional.

My company Mondy in Ireland (2L turbo diesel middle spec model) cost here 32,000 euros, which is over $40k. Who in the US is going to pay that much for a family ford? I know cars typically cost less in the US than in Ireland, but its still a huge difference.

I think the likes of the Fusion and 500 are cheaper cars to build, and hence can be sold at the lower prices which the US market demands. If I lived in the US I would be most frustrated with Ford's offerings, apart of course from the Mustang :)

hmm,i can't think why Ford USA is in such trouble whilst Ford Europe MAKES money! It will be around £26K which is roughly $47K. Are M3's $26K over there? As they are around $83K here!

They have that car here already, its called the S40 T5
