Anyone know how much it would cost to repaint my 00SVTC. I will be bringing it this weekend for an estimate but wanted to know about how much I would be spending. Thanks.

please search as this has been covered a few times .... it depends on the area, what work is being done and of course where you go .... if you want quality you are going to pay for it ...

Just want the car to look brand new again of course with a splitter. what's a good ball park figure for a good paint job. Nothing crazy just the same paint code as stock. At work don't have time to do a search sorry.

I wouldn't pay more than 2k if the colour isn't being changed, and no bodywork has to be done. The most expensive shop in the entire western mass area (rick's auto body) wanted 3500 to sand and respray my brothers 98 Prelude, the same colour black. That would have fixed all body work (small dings), and had a lifetime warranty. So if you're bringing it to a smaller shop, and the fact that it's an american car with OEM american paint and you don't have to completely strip the car.. shouldn't pay more than 2k.

I dunno about that, you 100% get what you pay for ... I had the hood, roof and trunk stripped and the whole exterior painted, mirko, etc and it was about $4k. Come take a look at my car and decide yourself and not one person has had a negative comment about the paint on my car since it was painted. Just PM me when you want to drop by, I'm right off 91 in Enfield.

BTW I had Connecticut Custom Car paint my car, they are on Rte 5 in Enfield. The regularly paint Cobra replicas and when I was having my car done a GT40 replica came into the shop and when its done it will be a $125k car, they do top notch work ...

it being OEM paint and a domestic car has no affect.. You can just sand it and paint it.. I'd say 3-5k if you need some body work... black is a very cheap color too (cost wise)...

I'm sure someone is going to call me stupid or whatever for saying that domestic paint or OEM has no effect, but what I meant was that if you're just respraying OEM domestic paint it's cheaper than respraying a car that has custom paint, or a car with foreign paint (germany for example has paint that's not legal to be sprayed in america, so matching it costs more because the paint is rarer).

I only know because I worked at a body shop. So before anyone calls me stupid or says my post sounds dumb, that's why I said it and if you(in general) have a problem then you can go **** yourself.

Then stop posting the way you do. Your days on ceg are seriously numbered if you keep this up.

IM not having the same convo in 2 threads.

You came on CEG in multiple treads, Telling people what to do. If you can get a good paint job for 2k then congrats. But that doesn't mean that everyone else can.
Getting bent out of shape and swearing(even though censored) is only gonna land you on the banned list.

After one month your really starting to look like a bent out of shape E-Thug....... Change something!

My first encounter with Ford drivers and It's not a good one. I wasn't telling people what to do, but you obviously percieved that. I won't have an opinion from now on, and I won't bother attempting to contribute. That'll be the change you want.

First encounter meaning what? Like you segregate Ford drivers over anyone else.. Stop trying to protect yourself from your own mishaps and just make do.. If you look around, it seems that just about all of us share a positive and sarcastic (most) relationship...

Come here, get help (without being an asshat), meet some people (if they even want to meet you eventually), and have a good time

well it seems that the better way to have approached this is to have stated up front that you work at a body shop and said that repainting oem is cheaper then custom or other types of paint. But instead you state as solid fact that it shold only cost 2k to have a car repainted.

Well when I was shopping around for prices I went to about 5 different shops and I was always quoted around 4k for a repaint. Only place I found with prices listed on line for anything less was at Macco and there was no ****ing way I was letting macco paint my car ...
