If you do airbags, you put it whatever height you want it to be. That same truck can be at normal height at the flip of a switch

but if you plan to be able to lay out you must notch the frame and find somewhere to mount everything, which is usually the bed. But not many people do rangers, espicially cause of the I-Beam suspension. But if it's what you want, do it to it.

why does everybody think you need 4wd to go off roading

Because getting towed out of the snowbank is way less fun than towing other people out.

I used to question 4WD, until I needed it. Nothing like being stuck on a grid road in -40C weather in my Dad's Cherokee to make shine the ability to pull a small lever and become unstuck without having to leave the vehicle.

In the Ranger I had manual hubs installed, they are usually off in the summer, and only on if it snows in the winter. I only use it if I need it.

I'll never lower mine! NEVER! I actually want 33x10" tires and a slight lift someday. Then I want to toss in a 5.0L but that's still dreaming right now.

I owned one, therefore my knowledge expanded.

I-beams kinda suck regardless of what you want to do, lift or lower. It is just the nature of that design, but that is also what will give you the unique-ness (i don't care if its not a word)

gonna get it payed off
maby invest in a lift and tires and after atleast 500,000 miles maby a few more after the engine dies im going to drop a 5.0 in it
