Oh the humanity

I think she'll stay kinda under wraps for now. The replacement won't be really any better since I don't really listen to the radio much anyway in that car. It's too loud and I'm spoiled by my truck too.

The replacement alarm and security system I've been thinking off for about a year will be kick arse though.

my guess on how the anti teft stereos work is

they have power weather the car is on or in your car my guess is when that power is taken away its sposed to tigger something were it won't turn on untill a code or something is entered

when my stereo was stolen out of my truck i think i had a alanis morsette cd in there

my advise to every one out there i don't care if you think your car is secure or not never carry your original cd's in your car unless your moving to a different place keep them locked up

you can get a cd burner for 30 dollars
a 50 pack of cds for about 15 and a few cd cases to carry them for 5 dollars

and a 2 dollar perminent marker

for 52 dollars you can save your cd's make backups and use the backups keep the originals lockedaway somewere

i know that a lot of factory stereos have a code required once they are removed.
basically i think it works like a clock, you take away the constant power source and it resets it. once power is given to it again it needs a code to allow it to be used.
very simple concept.
