honestly ive got no problem with taking the trans out. i can drop the subframe in about an hour, unbolt everything, and get the trans out the wheelwell in probably 5 hours max. the ball joints are bolted on so i just pull out 3 bolts and take off the whole spindle/strut assembly while leaving the control arms in. it makes the suspension side of the deal about 1/10th of the job.
