Its STICKIED ON THE TOP for a reason. see if your code is compatible with the same year as your source chip. (AKA see if an SFG2 will work on a 1998.5)

Also, a chip SHOULD be the last thing you do.. ESPECIALLY if you aren't going to pay to reburn it later to reflect any new mods. What mods are on the chip you are buying? do you even have those mods on YOUR car?

For the price, could you afford an XCAL2 and a tune, from Nautilus Performance, maybe? I'd venture one of two outcomes:

you're getting the chip MUCH cheaper than an XCAL, so you won't get an XCAL, but the tune on the chip will not be for YOUR mods... thus reburning, EVERY TIME YOU MOD YOR CAR (p.s.. buy an xcal)

OR: the chip will be as much as an xcal/tune and you should buy the xcal either way!

its a diablosport with a dyno custom tune + a nitro tune (which i dont think im gonna need right now) for the mods its about the same as me exept for a catback which i dont have. it come with the led toggle switch

and everything for 250$CAN

im pretty much done working on the engine, next step beeing a 3.0L which i think is still far away

the xcal will cost me double+shipping+whatever custom and brokerage fees... for the one im looking for its already acros the border so im saving more money there

of course i know a xcal is the best... but the price is quite different too

as for the main question which is the pcm code, i read the sticky above before posting but it was quite confusing because they seem to have change a few time in 1998... is there any way to check it myself which one i have ?

go into the pass. side and peel the carpet back. the pcm is up near the dash the code is right on the case on a label.

i thought there was a way to search.........................
