I circled the problem areas. I circled the "hot air" problem he has twice. He might as well just not have an intercooler with the piping going right over the engine...:nonono:

Wait...

if you pull up next to me you will get beat by ungodly car lengths
its does..why?
i know my car is rice but, thats is an error i'm correcting now... but, if you pull up next to me you will get bet by ungodly car links
nice... you really like that hks
I have a LOT of questions to ask you.
First, SVT racing clutch? Oh yeah? which one? part numbers please.
Second. Tein S-Tech racing springs? As far as I know the Focus had a completely different suspension setup as compared to the contour, how did you fabricate this setup? Do you have pics?
Third - I had no idea that Jack Roush himself had made a Turbocharger manifold for the Silvertop Zetec, thats impressive.![]()
5 psi?!?! why did you put the turbo on? you could have gotten similar gains from basic bolt ons, like cams, injectors, pulleys, header, a simple intake and a tune. That Turbo setup is so incredibly inefficient. But please, prove me wrong with some dyno sheets.
Fourth, B&M short throw never existed for the 95-97 contour. The 98-00 contours had the Cable shifter MTX-75. the 95-97 had a rod shifter setup, B&M only made one for the cable shifter. Buying the part and realising it wont fit, does not constitute as a mod.
the manifold came for a focus...next N/A on your car is slow, plus I always wanted turbo. putting a turbo on a zetec does make a big difference dude.
Focus manifolds don't fit on the Contour? Oilpans are different?![]()

no no, the focus manifolds will fit the headers would require modification on the down pipe, but the turbo manifolds will bolt right on, I can believe that, but im not believe anything about it being made by Jack Roush.
DUHH putting a turbo on any car DOES make a difference, I never contested such information, but the concept that I was throwing at you you completely bypassed. Running a turbo obviously gives power gains, the more efficient the piping design the more effective the turbo is going to be. the way you have the kit designed, with the size of your intercooler, your turbo is forcing extremely hot air into into the motor. At 5 psi the power gains probably are only marginal, what im trying to say is you are probably hardly making any more than 150 WHP, and im being generous. N/A these motors can put down serious numbers, Cosworth designed the motor, they put down some respectable numbers without doing forced induction on the Zetec. Im guessing you spent about 2 grand setting this turbo up.
I want a turbo too, but if im going to dump a lot of cash into Forced induction, not ghetto rig everything and think that bigger means better. But alas, a turbo is not on my list of priorities, doing well in my college courses is on my list of priorities, my zetec tour I have rebuilt from the dead with the help of a few others. I spent very little on the car and very little in repairing it, its been a reliable daily drive ever since. I plan to eventually get a fun car, and retire the zetec tour as a winter beater. Probably next year.
Furthermore, you still haven't explained the suspension, Shifter, and over abundance of "SVT" acronyms. Im still curious.
