I just wanted to know if anyone had tried those Plasma Sparkplugs at all and how they worked for you. I most likey would not get some as with high miles on my car not sure 25 bucks a plug is worth it , but just wanted to know.

sounds like snake oil .... just stick with stock, its what is best

Like I said at 25 a piece I was not getting any anyway, just interested to see if anyone could confirm they actually work or don't. I would wounder about the heat being to high with that much more output.

Not likely that you find anyone around here trying anything other than what is recommended which are the OEM Motorcraft or equivalent Autolite ones. There's really no point to it.

If they worked everyone around here would say how great they are, which nobody is doing... I thought someone brought these up a few months ago and it was agreed upon as being "snake oil," but I can not find the thread...

Yeah seriously I swear this just came up not too long ago. ill try and find the thread.
iirc consensus was that it was snake oil. tasty tasty snake oil.

I had looked around before I asked, found nothing. I was running Bosch double plat on my 98 tour, worked great, if I did replace them it would be with them or the motorcraft anyway.

It's no secret that Autolite provides plugs to Ford. It wasn't so long ago that Ford didn't even bother to rebadge these spark plugs with the Motorcraft name.

That was about 1972 or so. Ford owned Autolite, and was forced to sell it off by the feds due to anti monopoly laws. After the sale, Ford used the Motorcraft brand for most things that once had the Autolite label on it.

Big Jim: Remember these? They were from my stint at Ford sometime between '73 and '76. The copyright date on the can is 1966 for what it's worth.

On Autolite's website they "claim" to be the OEM supplier to Ford if I'm reading it correctly. I guess even if Ford sold off Autolite, they might just be putting the Motorcraft logo on Autolite plugs?

Yes, I still remember those. I still have some in my garage for storage of nuts, bolts, nails, etc. I also remember when those cans said Autolite. I might even have some of those as well.
