Rally suspension can it be done?

Ok, got a better idea, why dont u leave that car for fun sliding around then....and buy yourself a festiva for delivering pizza, either that or buy an old caprice or monte carlo and jack it up on 24s :)

Humm, sure....Never heard of it "actaully" BUT there is such a thing as "SCCA", which is road corse. if you want to consider *that* Rally then ok...
SCCA is much more than just a road course, or just a skid pad... they have rally cross, rally sprints, road rally. MOST of the rallys are SCCA events. You mostly just see WRC on TV. Have you even been to a rally event before?! In those SCCA events, your car can be RWD (*R), FWD (*F), AWD (*A). The '*' denotes the modified class your car and setup would place you in.

He could just get those cheap coil overs off ebay and turn the up all the way. Should be enough to lift the car up to give him clearance.

I am currently building a Rally America Group 2 CSVT. Most of the cars that run rally over here are actaully front wheel drive. The race at 100 acre wood this year there were civics, vw, focus, neons, volvo. They are cheaper to build and recommended for beginner rally drivers. Only once you learn how to really drive do you step up to AWD and turbo.

I am going with a custom coilover setup. No real need for a lift Maybe 1/2 inch, the real issue is compressoion and rebound and proper spring rate.

Unless your serious about Rally or jumping just get some cheaper coil overs to satisfy.

I think ill go start a post on my buidl up :)

+1 for just setting some bomz coilovers to the top. i think you can get like .75" lift out of them or something, should be enough for what your doing. also, you will definitely want the camber plates, if you don't you'll have positive camber, which is terrible. in the back, there's nothing you can do bolt on wise to fix the camber, so the car might be a little "drifty" in the back...
