I hope matts lawyer is current with florida law, there isnt anything he can do! Joe sold the car as is, and Joe never told Matt he couldn't come drive it, or look it over. Joe did not act with any malice, and didn't lie to Matt in any way!
Now, if Joe had specifically said that there was a new SVT engine in the car, then Joe lied, but Joe didn't lie to Matt. You guys need to get a life!
Joe has never hidden the fact the car had an SE engine. Before I even met him, I was working at the mall in ft myers fl, and saw a silver frost SVT roll in. So naturally, I walked up and said hello, and started talking to him. He told me then about how the engine was blown, and he put a SE V6 with SVT UIM LIM MAF and etc. on it. I asked him how it still ran, and he said it ran with SVTS.
He wasn't hiding anything, Matt, if I was buying a car online, sight unseen, I'd do all the research I could about the car. I wouldn't buy a car online though, I'd want to drive it, see if there were any noises, check all the engine bay out, the suspension, check for rust, run a magnet over the body to check for bondo...etc etc etc.
Its done and over with, if Matt wants to attempt to sue Joe, I wish him luck. And just so he knows, in the state of florida, you can't sue a minor, and because Joe's mother had nothing to do with the transaction, she can't be held liable either! Look it up under small claims court!
