Looks great, Andrew! This may actually be a dumb question, but did the kit come with the hood, or was it cut out and weather stripped? Sounds like a pretty dang nice gift he got you, especially if it came with the hood! :shocked:

heh, no the hood is the stock hood that is cut and modified. that's the big reason i wanted it done professionally. i don't think i could bring myself to cut into my own hood :blackeye:

the kit comes with the metal scoop/shroud, piping, cutting template, and molding to cover the cut in the hood.

What exactly does a shaker do?

as was explain but im also slow at life with a second question. Why is there also a intake pipe and filter under the hood as well?

the silver intake pipe and filter are the C&L intake. The shaker routes air that enters the scoop to the filter and dumps it behind the heatshield.
