So where is the A/C evaporator core?

I've searched, and searched. So now I'm asking the Forum. I would like to remove as much stuff from the car as possible before I let my mechanic replace the A/C evaporator core and Air Dryer. Can you identify the evaporator core and its location in my 1998 Contour LX 2.0?

The evaporator is inside the dash.

Could use more specific information about the evaporator core. Diagrams or photos of a dashboard torn apart might help. I have removed the console, and the glove box.
A WORD OF CAUTION: DON'T TWIST THE SHIFTER AS YOU RAISE IT OFF THE SHAFT BECAUSE YOU WILL BREAK THE WIRES FOR THE OVERDRIVE BUTTON!
