Hi All,

I have a 99 SE, with the three point lower control arms (they have the two frame bolts and the sealed ball joint) up front. I was wondering if someone could give me the specs on bolts for the front suspension assembly. I need new bolts for the Left side lower control arm, the bolt/nut that attaches the arm to frame, and the bolt that pinches the arm to the steering knuckle. I also need specs on bolts that pinch the knuckle onto the strut arm.

I will actually be looking for a bolt that is a bit shorter in length for the lower control arm to frame bolt, because I have to insert from bottom with the nut on top, instead of dropping it from the top as the original. No way to get the new bolt in that way without raising the engine.

Thanks!

OK, looking at every forum thread, i found the 2 bolt LCAs are M12x1.75mm. Grade 10.9... Anyone by chance know the length? Going to install upside down with loctite, does the original size fit this way without hitting the tranny case?

The bolts are 75 mm long. You can still buy these through Ford. The part# is W703901-S309 (sold in pkgs of 4). If you need to buy the matching lock nuts, the part# is W703016-S306 (sold individually).

I don't remember the exact specs on the ball joint pinch bolt and nut but a new Ford OEM bolt is Part# W703363-S309 and it is usually sold in pks of 4. The lock nut is Part # W520204-S309 and is sold individually. The size is probably M12 x 1.75 mm but I don't remember the length. Metric Grade 10.9 will do as will Grade 8.8 (SAE?).
