SZ stress

lol that tire looks alot like my old Parada Spec 2s

does that mean your actually gonna get some rest before SZ? AMAZING!

I recomend you guys wax your rims because it will make life 10x easier once you get to MI, all you gotta do it hose the rims off and they will be shiney

Nope, no rest. Still need the mount the hood, and replace my alternator. Then it's shopping and packing time.

Thank god I'll have someone to drive when I wanna sleep.

Well the hood and Mirko didn't get finished.

The fiberglass absorbed the paint as it was drying. So it went on smooth but as it dried, it put waves in the paint. I looked at it and it looked great except for that. So tomorrow they are going to sand it and repaint it. Since the old paint dried onto it, it won't soak again. They said it should be ready for about 11am-12pm.

The exhaust is done and sounds great. Just replaced my M3 lip spoiler with a better length and painted to match the car.

sounds to me like they didnt use a primer/sealer

He said they did and prepped like crazy. The hood I guess kept releasing moisture in the process also so it was bubbling. It finally settled then painted. As it dried, the paint got worse.

He showed me other things that were in there with my hood and Mirko and it looked great. He said that's how it should look and they won't let it leave till it's right.

those F*ckers left bubbles in my oval and a couple of jackpoint covers.

An another note, my beautiful fogs died today. I want to say blown fuse since the switch doesnt even get power but I also wasn't getting a voltage reading on the switch connector from switched power(tapped the thick green wire under the steering column) to ground.

Common sense reminder: Don't semi mount fuses where you have to jack the car up and remove the splash guard for access. :blackeye:

I got my autovation pedals installed though, yay!

Common sense reminder: use appropriately sized wire taps for appropriately sized wires so they don't pop out while installing your autovation pedals. :blackeye:

alternator is out ... break time .... now wtf didn't mine come back out this easy, sob ...

hey tony you really need to bleed your brakes and clutch, the brake pedal is way soft and the clutch grabs so high ... but then again I found the drivers axle nut loose so I tightened it down again ... I think I will bring the wrench with me as I almost missed the bearing making noise over the exhaust ...

WTF!@?@?@?@?@?@?!@#?!@# I don't understand why the axle nut keeps coming loose. What the hell am I gonna keep doing? Tightening it every week?

Yeah, I know about the brakes and clutch. It was on my to-do list but never got around to it. :blackeye:

God damn son of a b*tch!

They might have a lock down here at the school because of the tornado watch! I need to leave this building right now.

wtf mate?! tornado watch? There hasn't been one in like 15 years and now when we're about to go to sz, tornadoes are a comin...what in the world!

It's because it's your and my first SZ.

Kim and Mike not coming, Goonz not coming, tornadoes, and rain during the weekend ... well we'll make the best of whatever happens :)

Tony, the brakes and clutch seemed some what better on the ride home, have to figure with the axle nut being loose that the rotor was flopping around pushing the pads back ... I tighten the **** out of it and have the wrench with me incase you or anyone else needs it.

Also I checked your battery at idle and I was getting 14.1 volts across the battery ... the voltage holds nicely when you turn more things on ... btw it seems that your radio reads low ... it was at 13.5 the whole time which does make sense as there can be a difference in the voltage depending where you read it from ...
