The Best Modded Contours

I've seen more than one pic of it, the first time I saw a pic of it, I thought to myself "wow, that has got to be one of the most riced out CDW's I've ever seen". and IDK what his being in a wheel chair has to do with me thinking chrome wheels are very 1995 and that his headlights would have been better off with topshop eyelids...

I think you guys are taking a simple criticism a little too personally, I didnt call the guy a douche bag or anything, just knocked his taste in wheels and headlights...

Maybe you should go back an read your postings. You did a little bit more the just knock his wheels an lights.

when I saw oven in the name, I thought this was another post about ovenchicken...

but on topic, my first post was this:

holy f**k that Mystique would be AWESOME, if it weren't for the headlights and the chrome wheels!

also, has there ever been anyone to fit an SVT kit to a pre 98 Mystique?

fixed that for ya...

because I'd seen it before, and liked it, but thought it was actually turbo... then zorrex reminded us all that it had an "interfooler" and I posted this:

wow, that is gay on so many levels. spraypaint headlights, bling wheels, fake FMIC, parted out before FMIC worked....

he even had under pressure on his windscreen, WTF, did it also have one of those fart can whistles that makes it sound like it has a turbo?

and that pretty much brings us to where we are. I think a huge FMIC mounted on the outside of a NA car is pretty much the definition of rice, sorry. and I get that he planned on boost, but to put up pictures of it with the HUGE FMIC there when it was never boosted is rice, ie: false advertising.

take the turbo out of the picture and what do we have? a mystique with an SVT kit and a mirko, ok sounds good, but then you add the strange headlights and the bling bling wheels into the mix and it looses my vote again, just like I said to start with. I wasn't aware that my opinions had to be approved via congress in order to qualify as my opinions, again, sorry, I'll make sure to have a democratic vote before I post any other opinions...

It had wayyyyy more work into it than what you are insinuating. You are just an ignorant asshole, and you should STFU and leave this thread because your posts (and others now arguing with you over your idiocy) are throwing this thread off topic. I suggest we take all this to PMs rather than cluttering this thread with these shenanigans. Thanks.

Haha, you said shenanigans...

sorry I got the thread highjacked, but way to call me an ignorant asshole and then say we should take it to PM so you can have the last word.

you win @ the interwebz!

you have a PM...

Correct, as you can see it's not a reflector it's a projector. I have 4300k HID running to the fogs to match that of the lowbeam's. Hella made the lamp, pudmunkie and I came up with a bracket to support it in the CSVT bumper.

And those buggers are BRIGHT! I loved them so much on my old car.

I bet he won a trophy that day though.

true, look at the other junk out there... it wouldn't be so bad if it were lowered and the grill and sail panel where painted body color rather than gold...

that extreme dimensions knock off all over e-bay could use a massive can of bondo thrown at it too, I think that might help a little, that extractor on the side is just ridiculous...

I'm surprised you haven't freaked out more over that car. It's also an ATX Zetec.

Back on topic, I bet the motor that this car is going into will be HOT ••••!

thats beautiful work joe, why the 2.5 valve covers though? and you should at least rattle can the block silver...

[edit] just noticed the tensioner is a different color than the timing cover, how much of a pita is it to get that thing off?

[edit2] just remembered I've been wanting to post this thing up, pretty clean, almost as nice as the car with the clear tails:

It's a port matched 3L, that's why there are 2.5L valve covers. The tensioner is easy to take off, and I am not painting the block because you see none of it when the motor is installed so it would be wasted paint.

spraypaint on headlights=rice

spraypaint on block= better than corroded junk.

and joe, you can too see the block in the car, I see mine every time I change my oil...

ok get off the spraypaint headlights bro. they might be overkill, i agree there. but they are obviously paint matched to the car's color so they are not rattle canned. so get the fawk over it.
