Wow, i didnt even have my Mercury when this thread was posted. I still had my 89 Tempo GLS with the ORIGINAL engine. To think, i went thru an engine swap and bought a mercury, bought another Tempo and started building an engine for it from the last post in 07 to the first post this year.

Take them apart like you were hightowering them. Cut a hole in the reflector that will fit the projector module(you can choose to paint the reflector black at this point, or any other color to fit your fancy), mount the projector module in the housing, put shrouds on, create whatever means you like to connect it to your stock harness, glue the lens back onto the headlamp housing, mount on car, drink beer, enjoy, then drink another beer.

I could look and see if I can find a good write-up on another forum if you like. Wouldnt be exactly the same, but same principle.

Yeah, quality projectors arent cheap, and it is a lot more work than my description makes it sound like. Quality work like that is worth it too.

the first "modded" contour I remember seeing was Beyondloadedse's pre 98 but that was before I joined CEG so I guess that's the first on my list .some other favorites are of course .
