And just to be fair, I did pull down like 35 mpg on my way home from buying the 3.0L....running the wrong tune to boot.
I've had 4 svt's, and regular driving always averaged 27 mpg. sure you can get 30, but you have to try or have a commute that held 50 mph or so.
oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize it had to be 30 or it didn't count. I thought it was a discussion about function, it was an example of a car that was similar in all the numbers you said. is it excluded because it was faster than a 3L? it did run 12's @120, and I drove home with 4 people that day too, getting 18 mpg while making 400+ hp, but that isn't 30 either, so it doesn't count.
I find it interesting that everyone in this thread disagrees with you, yet you say I have the lack of comprehension. It's pretty simple, really, you can voice your opinion all you want, as I did about modifying a zetec, but the problem comes in when you make fun of his engine/transmission combination. Everyone else sees that, but not you, but I am the one that is missing the point??

There is a difference between you willfully misunderstanding a point I'm making and me disagreeing with people.
Because this makes no sense. Some unwritten rule that everyone but me knows about dictates that I can express my opinion, but I can't make fun? What if my opinion is that it sucks? Hey Purple, it seems pretty obvious that you have proven that you are, for lack of a better word, a jerk. I mean stop fighting such a small thing. People on an internet forum think you are being mean. Why does it bother you so much? You think the zetec/atx combo is a silly thing to waste money on and have voiced it many times. Why not just let it go and be the bigger person? All you are accomplishing now is showing a bull-headed nature and a bit of immaturity. In all honesty, this did make me chuckle, so thanks for that.
Nope. My '95 ATX Zetec stayed bone stock, and the only thing I did to my '96 ATX Duratec Mystique was a custom stereo that's now in my SVT. No intake, no exhaust, no chicken wire, no Wal-Mart fogs, no painted consoles, no seat covers, no spoilers, colored hoses, RIMZZZZZZ, STICKERZZZZZ etc. etc. etc..

Still doesn't change the fact that you drove a bone stock Mystique while all your buddies drove big bad muscle cars and Evo's and the like.. :shrug: am I wrong?

It was actually Grand Ams, Explorers, and Cavaliers, among other things.
I'm not sure why you have the impression that I own an SVT to impress anyone else. Honestly, I get more crap for owning my SVT than I did for owning a purple Mystique.

I left it on because I may be getting a new front plate today, we'll see. I'll probably take a couple more pics tommorow and see what happens. If I don't have a front plate, I'll take off the holder.

If you want to come in, post what you'd do differently, or even disagree, fine. Don't start calling the OP deluded because he's starting to mod on a level differently than you would, on a different platform than you would. The kid is trying. Give him credit for it. If you want to disagree with what he's doing, fine. But recognize what he's TRYING to do and TRYING to learn along the way.
Good for you that you wouldn't do it. But somehow if you think that escalates you to some higher level of authority of what should and shouldn't be modded, you're out of your mind.
