Ok so I replace the TPS and my problem doesn't go away. Then I do a search on here and sounds like there is a certain way to put the sensor on...Anybody know what the procedure to put on the TPS is? I just simply took old one off and put new one on. My problem is throttle jumping in between shifts, I've hear of the moosing and I don't think that is it, just want it fixed it is beating the hell out of my tranny!

Thanks
Josh

Throttle position sensor Removal and installation(tp sensors are not adjustable)
Disconnect tp sensor from wiring harness.
mark throttle body and tp sensor for reassembly reference.
Remove mounting screws and tp sensor.
To install, align tangs on tp sensor with blades on throttle shaft and install sensor on throttle body.
Align marks on throttle body and tp sensor, secure tp sensor to throttle assembly with retaining screws to 18 ft. lbs. of torque.
Reconnect wiring and your done

first off, you bought a new sensor correct? if so make sure that the sensor refrences a throttle body that turns the same way. the part number for the svt is tps245 from autozone. their system is wrong. you will install after kilting the sensor at like 45 degrees, sliding in, rotating clockwise to line up bolt holes, put in screws, and plug er back in. that should work for ya

I bought one years ago from RockAuto and it was the wrong one. Sent it back and got a replacement, still wrong. i ended up going to a pic-n-pull and taking one off of a 4.6L Ford out of a Crown Vic. It's still working fine!
The ones I got from RockAuto all rotated the wrong direction.
