that is from before when I had water leaking into the trunk, it turned out to be from the antenna but I thought it was the light so I had used some rtv to seal the light to the body ... will do that again
 
Oh yeah, might want to pull all of the rubber work off (roof drip moldings, side window belt strip and windshield weather stripping along the front of the roof line). When Ford repainted mine those parts were never removed and they were problematic.

Hey do you know that your Mirko actually sat in my basement for almost 8 months before Pete told me into selling (at a loss :shrug: :laugh:) back so you can have it?

My house's drive way is a little bit hilly and it doesn't seem to clear the Mirko (with stock suspension!) so I have never put it on. It's great to see some one else is very happy with it. If I lived at some other places this Mirko would be on my car now. :laugh:

So shoot some pictures when you get it done. Very nice!

well thank you for the Mirko then :laugh: yes Pete did mention to me that it was his that he sold to you then sold to me :crazy: I love the look and had to have it when going fot the SVT "kit"


don't worry I will post plenty of pics when I get the car back and everything back on
 
cant wait to see the pics, ive always wanted to do this, our cars wont be twins anymore though :( at least until i decide to do a sevt conversion

Is the inside of the engine bay and the underside of the hood getting painted as well?

If I ever had to get my svt repainted (again), I would make sure that I get that done since thats one of the things that stands out when you open the hood. Never noticed it until Allen had it.
 
i don't believe so, but then again the color of my engine bay wasn't that far off from the outside of the car

you know I don't remember, but I know what you where getting at, I have seen some cars where the engine bay paint doens't even look the same as the rest of the car ... not use if they are doing the door jams or not, I said I wanted the whoel car painted ... I don't think that it matters to much since the car will be the same color ...

Not very smart, becasue when the mikro gets messed up the bumper has to come off at least when it's not moulded you can just unbolt the mirko and work on it. I know if had my mirko moulded on my mystique when I had it I would have been even more screwed than I was (I tore my mirko off pulling into my underground).

yea but its not an everyday car for him, like he only drives it in the summer and at meets. I'd mold it but hey its his car so its his call. Ive never had issues where I had to take mine off..well actually I take that back, I take mine off when I need an oil change and when it snows :)
 
well the car is ready for paint ... bad part is they where not able to get the paint in time to paint it tomorrow, collision work gets painted weds, so I am looking for thursday or friday for paint ... if they can get it this week ...

wow brian, that is going to look beautiful. I can't wait to see it. Your eyelids will ship out tomorrow. They should look really good on there.
