Tried searching/FAQs/need lots of help!

Try LKQ (something like that). Thats where I got my engine a couple years back. An 03' Taurus engine complete with 10k on it. If I remember correctly I paid $320 or $350 for it. Was in great shape. Regardless of what you get though, tear the thing apart! Do a complete rebuild so that you won't have any doubts when it's time to turn that key.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, SVT Cams!

have you read up on the most recent comparison about the 2 cams... I honestly believe that the 3L Taurus cams would be better for nitrous because they have a strong low end and midrange and when you hit the nitrous, it would be even more powerful and carry you up into the high RPM's.

With the 3L cams, I feel that the nitrous could actually act in a similar fashion as a turbo kit that spools late. With good low end power, nitrous could compensate for the little bit of a lack up high and make the car a MONSTER!

You'll still make more power with the svt cams. so.....

That makes sense, so thanks for confusing me even more... LOL

would it be possible to change cams afterwards and try both setups? or would it not be worth the time?

Not worth it. stick with the SVT cams if you like to ring your cars out. If you want to drive like a grandma then grab the 3l cams, you wont need to drive the car in a spirited fashion.
