tried some zaino yesterday ...

oh.. is zaino that really expensive pink and purple stuff that comes in really tiny bottles for like 60 bucks? my buddy used that stuff last year on his T.A and it was sexy..

If it does that to ****ty paint, I might have to invest some money, damn my paint already shines, it would glow with zaino.

Glow with Zaino...
Glow with Zaino...
Glow with Zainoooo...

bring it to my house at spring, I'll fit you in my schedule and we'll shine her up with Zaino

trust me that is what I am going for ... like I said before my father friend who details was blown away by Zaino after he used it ... this guy does high speed polishing and uses industrial strength products .... so it has to be good ....

NECEG Detailing meet again? My car needs a wash badly and that would actually provide motivation to do so.

I spent a weekend doing the Zaino system on my car. Came out perfect in the end. I don't think a meet would allow enough time.

what Matt is refering to is I think it was two years ago now he came down to my house with skunk and po iirc and I detailed his Contour with some Maguires NXT iirc, we also cleaned up his battery ...

although to just wash the exterior and hit it wil one coat of zaino seems feasable for a few hours, you just wouldn't be able to layer it or get to much else ...

I wish my paint imperfections were on the outer layer and not in the color coat

dude my paint is complete crap, you cant even see urself cause of the repaint done by macco. Its all grainy :blackeye:

a car that hasnt been detailed in a year or more should me clay bar'd first no matter what! Hell I'd even do it to the car twice just so I can make waxing it a lot easier on myself..plus clay bar does WONDERS!

Question for all the Zaino-ers. I want to see what the preferred process is.

Do you apply the Z1 and immediately apply the Z2 on top while the Z1 is still wet. Then let both dry and then buff off.

OR

Do you apply the Z1, let the Z1 dry, then apply the Z2 on top of the Z1. Then let both dry and buff off.

I do the ZFX alot..and its mostly apply, let it dry, buff it out, then apply the other kind, dry, buff etc etc..I dont do 2 in one time..

i didn't get the Z1 since the ultimate kit comes with the ZFX ... just measure some Z2 or 5 out and add the drops, apply like a wax and wait about 15 minutes or so and buff off again like a wax .... water beeding speaks for itself ...

guys I used some Z5 on the tour today, not the whole car but most of it and      , I don't have words ... no pics since I didn't have my camera with me, so you are going to have to wait until the first meet this spring I think to see it ...

I dont have the ZFX...I wanted to go the "old school" Zaino method. So I have the Z1 and then the Z2.

So whats the general consensus if you dont use the ZFX??

Goonz I don't think you are supposed apply Z1 and then buff off and then put on Z2 and buff off. If I'm not mistaken it is to be left on b/c it creates a bond btw the 2 products and bonds to the paint

EDIT:
I just visited the website and looked at the directions (should have done that earlier ). Heres the info from the site:

"
 1.
 2. Apply a thin coat of Z-1™ Polish Lok using a 100% cotton cloth or applicator pad, in a circular motion, to the entire vehicle, no rubbing is necessary, DO NOT WIPE OFF.
 3. Follow directions on your choice of Show Car Polish (Z-2, Z-3 or Z-5), and apply directly over the hazed Z-1™ Polish Lok."
