unliek you i have this one thing called common descency and respect for another fellow car enthusiast even if its not a contour or a lexus if they put money into it then i would congratulate them not try and bash on them because they arent modding THEIR car the way i would like it to be modded... if you want to pay for my mods like "my parents do" then feel free to send some money this way and ill be happy to use it towards something that fits your standards.... since you are the king of modified cars...

ahh i wish my parents bought me the car.. hmm at 19 yrs old i put a $3K down payment and was paying $490 a month PLUS a $500 insurance payment for the first 6 month PLUS i was only making about $1800 at the time PLUS i wanted it to be stick PLUS to be able to have white/black leather/6MT it was a 4 month pre-order wait and i happened to be in the right place at the right time... so before you judge me and my car... try and find out the background story.... now i might get an IS-F by the end of the year but thats just me... and BTW i have been with the same girl for 3 years and she was with me from the good old days when i was in the contour... and im already a vetran at people not liking the CF so i dont really care at the end of the day i know i drive a Lexus and i mod my own car and i know i pay rent and bills and it doesnt really matter to me what other people think... thats all that matters to me! so have a great day! and BTW im 20 now so yea fist in mouth to you sir! have a good one!

BTW with the performance mods that i will do within the next 6 months i will be alot faster than an IS350... =)

Sorry, but with comments like those, you're right up there on that high horse.

Also, putting yourself in debt and bragging about it doesn't really make any sense to me. :shrug:

Don't ask us what we think and then get mad when you don't like what you hear. That just makes no sense.

no need to get your panties in a bunch. When you ask for opinions (what people think) you get what you may consider good or bad. Some people with love your car and tell you that it should be in the next fast and the furious movie, and some folks will say it looks like a carbon fiber trimmed turd (not my opinion, just saying). If you can't take the heat stay the hell out of the kitchen.

I had two people drool over my car today, and that was just on my drive to work. It made me feel good, but for every one of those there is some dumbass who says my pig of a cadillac is a slow/useless/rubbish/insert favorite negative comment car. Some will love it, some will hate it. Don't ask for opinions if you can't take it.

Yea, most do. Almost 500 bucks a month though is just stupid. I like paying cash for my cars. Thats why I drive one thats 10 years old. It's a nice car, BUT not my style and to me a waste of money. Thats my opinion and thats what the OP asked for.

i live in miami where there are cops in every corner so it doesnt really matter to me about 300 HP

It is not the amount of the car payment, but the percentage of your income that it makes up. $500 a month car payment is not stupid if you make enough money to afford it.

Right, but he's in his lower 20's, I believe. So, even making 50k a year at that age, I'd rather be saving for a house. It is his money, so I'm not trying to tell him how to spend it. Just me personally, but their is more important things in life than driving the nicest new car you can afford. (at that age anyway)

I thought you were saying $500 a month was a stupid car payment for anyone to have. The OP is paying more than he should for a car. A brand new is250 would be a good choice for someone making way more than $1800 a month. The insurance is killing him as well.
