Update on the csvt/vortech

Which should be much more reliable right? I know when Vortech was selling a kit themselves they claimed install time was around 10-12 hours I think. What is a realistic average install time for the 3lduratec kit for someone who hasn't done it before? Does it come with step by step instructions?

i think it takes chris around four hours to install his kit. i think it requires one hole to be cut in the inner fender, if you want to run the intake pipe outside the engine bay.

yes, its way more reliable, i've seen/touched/looked/ridden in blackcoog's car. i planned on getting one of his kits but i might do something different. the kit is expensive, because the vortech head unit you need for that kit (counter clockwise rotation) is like 2000$ or more. it does however come with the factory vortech warranty on the head unit (1 year)

definately better than the jackshaft style, if you ask me. but the jackshaft style is fine if you make it work like our friend did in this thread. sorry to jack it lol
 
Yeah im still coming to SZ. WIll only be able to come the Wed/Thurs and leave friday of it though. I could put in for leave but i work that weekend too which sucks. Got my dads 1998 Stock CSVT with about 282,xxx miles on it LOL. No Ryan, my dad drives the contour around once a week to make sure she is still working right.
