Were you getting high when you wrote this? Look at how the typing just devolves in the post...type a sentence, take a hit, type a sentence, take a hit, etc.

Your vulcan is a V6, and so is the 2.5L duratec, the similarities end there. If you had a 3L Duratec motor, we could help you, since you don't, check the sites everyone posted.

I wouldn't waste time trying to mod a 3.0 Vulcan.

All you're likely to do is turn a reliable, dependable powerplant into something you might not be happy with.

Leave it be, drive it every day, and get something else to mod.

It beats walkin'.

LivetoRev, I might be a owner of a Vulcan packing Taurus in the near future. Let me know if you find anything, beause the one I'm getting will probably get some engine overhaul to be cleaned up and put back in running order. So if i'm there doing maintance maybe i'll slip a few extras in.

I've done a few quick searches but I really haven't found anything myself, but maybe you'll have some better luck.

If you want to mod something rare and something that does not have a large aftermarket the first thing you need to do is assess your own money situation. No offense but I'm guessing since you drive and taurus and this is your starting platform money might be an issue. I've modded a first gen turbo probe because it was the biggest performance car I could afford at the time and believe me it was not a picnic finding parts, but when I did they were cheap with horrible quality or expensive as hell. Remember you have to pay to play and the less the platform has been touched by the aftermarket the more you're going to have to pay.

2004 Taurus owner wanting performance parts. Morana racing specializes in V6's and the 3.0L Vulcan is among his offerings. He has quite a few parts including a mainfold adapter for a supercharger from a TB Supercoupe. Take a look. You won't be disappointed.

the vulcan was an option in 2004?? wtf is that!?

The vulcan was the only motor left for that last few years of production for that gen style taurus which ended in '06 ( I used to have an '06 SEL) and you thought the Contour got decontented
