What replacement axles are you all using these days?

Hey guys, I'm looking to replace my CV axles and was wondering what brands you all were having success with. It seems all the good axle threads in this forum are several years old and have outdated information.

I read good things about the GCK HD axles, but it seems they are discontinued. Amazon no longer lists them for our cars, axlesforless.com no longer uses GCK from the most recent thread I found, and I called Autozone and they can't get them either.

Second option was Raxles, but from what I read they don't make axles for our cars. To be fair I haven't called them yet.

Third option, and I really don't want to do this, are remanufactured ones from NAPA, Advanced Auto, etc. I haven't heard many good things about these.

OEM ones are discontinued so that leaves that out. The DSS ones are nice, but too expensive.

So what replacement axles are you guys using?

Im sorry but my inbox has space for 5000 messages and its no where near capacity.

Do you guys recommend using Ford OEM axle nuts and circlips? You can still get the axle nuts from Ford, and while the circlips are discontinued for our cars I heard the MTX 75 Focus uses the same circlip.

I would just use the clip and nuts from the new GCK axles. Only order a replacement nut and clip if you plan on removing and reinstalling the axles. The nuts are TTY and the clip should be replaced if removed from the tranny.
