what size would fit

Ive got about $15K into my setup which includes everything engine, turbo kit, and drivetrain, and tuning. Rods arent neccessary, but you may want the piece of mind of the aftermarket pistons. Youll save a couple thousand with the Nautilus Turbo kit too. Oh, that doesnt include any labor fees either.

2.5L turbo with everything else including new tranny..how much whp and tq and what would it cost??

3.0L turbo but with the svt parts in it like the cams and what not...how much whp and tq woudl this push and what would it cost?

trying to decide which to do because i was reading posts in the 3L thread about the 2.5 being able to push the same numbers for the same price but taking less work. i have a 98 svt with about 90200 miles on it. this summer i plan on putting in new struts and such but i also wanted to do the exhuast. what kind of exhuast should i put in for the 3L. i was told that i would lose power running it with the 2.5. if i kept the 2.5 i was going to do trubendz with magnaflow mufflers. trying to find the best setup without doing things twice to push 350 whp

You tell me what turbo your going with and I could give you an estimate. It could be anywhere from 300-500 whp depending on the turbo. Expect to pay at least $10,000 for all the neccessary upgrades regardless of which engine you go with.

probably the nautilus. there is only stage one out now but by the time i do mine there may be the third cause i think stage two is already being put in the guys car and tested. also whats the difference between stages other then getting higher horsepower with each stage?

Im guessing turbo is different, upgraded injectors, etc. I think its been mentioned in the group buy thread.

Don't know about the forced induction, the 3L is a finniky motor and doesn' like boost. Beside, you're only going to be able to keep FWD hooked up to a point then all that HP just goes up in smoke

WHAT?! What in your right mind gave you that idea!

A mere 5 psi (actually 4.75 psi) with a T3/T4 turbo on a 3.0L has shown to make 300 whp (~360 hp). A STOCK bottom end 3.0L has made over 400 whp (nearly 500 crank hp). The early 2.5L and 3.0L motors do have piston ringland issues, but to say that the motor doesnt like boost is just rediculous.

If the motor didnt like boost, I think Noble would have chose a different powerplant for the Noble M12 and M400.

Btw, Manny Cruz with a 3.0L duratec ran 7.0X in the 1/4 mile with his twin turbo cougar.
