What would cause repeated wheel bearing failure?

hey guys, forgive any ignorance here but i got a 98 mystique gs. i got a retired friend who has alignment gauges and such, told me i was 3 degrees negative both sides on my camber. by the way my tires are wearing i'm not surprised. decent tread all the way until the tread on the edge which showed steel belts and worse. i talked to a alginment pro who said the camber is set and not adjustable. (or not supposed to be) now the question. in trying to avoid the thought of a bent frame, um... would the stuff you're talkin of do it? bad struts? suggestions?

They sell this to allow you to adjust your caster and camber. I have one on my car (With some modifications) and it works fine. Do a search and you will find that someone here makes better top caps for this kit. The stock ones are just stamped metal and are not really strong enough. Otherwise the kit does what it says it is supposed to do. They are sold by a number of major suppliers but they all look the same.

thanks a bunch. looks like i'll be investing in a pair of em. curious tho, since the control arm is fixed, and the top is fixed, and it's supposedly set to factory so it'll "always be good", does that mean my car is falling apart? something gone bad? or just something to be expected?

I wouldn't buy the camber kit...those are intended to adjust camber to within spec on lowered cars or track guys who want more negative camber. In your case it would be a band aid. Something is bent, -3 degree of camber is fairly significant. Have you hit any curbs lately? Usually it would be the lower control arms/ ball joints that would cause this problem though...

it's done this since i bought the thing. haven't hit any curbs, however (gulp) now that i think about it.... i had to put the thing on a car dolly to get it over to a shop. had someone helpin me steer while i pushed. they didn't stop the car in time. ya the wheels went off the dolly and the car landed on the frame. would this cause my issue? (doh!!!)

i guess i should clarify... when i bought the car it wasn't running. it needed a new timing belt. so i towed it over to a shop. well, it took a few tries to get it on the dolly. (you oughta see my poor front fender. down by where the fog lights would be its a bit messed up. its been runnin pretty steady for me so i really wanna take care of it.
