Is confused a place?
Can I get a consensus on which bearing to replace.

Car has a humming noise when I'm driving.

Gets louder when I turn to the right, and quieter when I turn to the left.

Left wheel bearing right?

TIA

Correct. This happens most of the time. IIRC, there has only been one instance posted of the opposite side.

If you have a shop do it, it will be just shy of $200. I just had my passenger side one done last month.

jack the car up, so the tire is off the ground and try wobbling it side-side, do this at each corner until you find the bearing that is loose, it is a lot more precise than guessing based on sound.

Normal?

The only normal thing you can make is:
cost of bearing at your best price you can find (~$50-60 at most dealerships)
~1 hour of labor to remove and replace the bearing, plus labor to remove the hub if you roll up in the car, and don't bring them the hub alone.

Hourly rates differ, so calculate the totals based on shop rates you find.

Edit: Read the wheel bearing how-to in Duratec Maintenance FAQ for a detailed write up of how to do it:

the cheapest
the fastest
the easiest
or a combination of the three.

left side wheel bearing went out on mine because someone overtighten the axle nut, then backed it off. drove 200+ miles with a loose axle (actually more but really loose for that much) and my wheel slid in and out about an inch and wobbled REALLY BAD. all this because the ford garage didnt put the washer back on. should have never let them deal with the car.

but its a pretty simple fix. i would have pulled the hub off in about 30 minutes or less, but had some ball joint and strut issues. nothing a big pry bar and hammer cant fix.

but i paid like $25 for my bearing (got a discount from a ac delco/motorcraft dealer since we used them).

Sounds about right. It took me an hour (counting a beer break  ) to get the knuckle off the car. The local garage wanted about $230 to replace, which included an alignment. Not too bad, I guess, but it's much cheaper to do it yourself. Counting shipping to a certain individual in Michigan, it's gonna run me about $140 with alignment. Not too bad.
