where can i get it

The stock code stays in the Xcal2 the whole time until you select the "return to stock" option.

YOu CANNOT reprogram another car with the xcal2 until you do this. So as long as the tune is loaded to your car that xcal2 needs to stay with the car as it is locked to it.
Now you can datalog other cars but just can't retune them.

i'm going to buy my own PRP i think, as i am in the market for a mustang so either way i'll need it to run xcal. i'll contact you however if i do need a tune from you, warmonger. thanks.

Okay. Just remember the PRP only comes with one code you'd better pick the car you care most about. They used to sell indivual codes for several hundred dollars but now they are starting to refuse to do that depending on who you talk to.

Hahaha, I'm glad you know a lot about cars. To take a single tune and call it a day, no testing, no datalogs,....not my choice. But true you don't have to take it anywhere but do you want to know if the tune is any good?
hahaha what?I will probaly still take it somewhere to get perfect, and to buy a wide bane o2 senor but they wont have to take 2 and half hours to tune it.At 200 dollars an hour that is'nt cheap.thanks

I guess my point is that you are assuming you will get a good tune loaded into your xcal2. It might be but I doubt it.

Most people can't tune these cars well because they don't put the time and effort into studying it.

The only place I can recommend for a decent out of the box tune is brenspeed.com and that's only because he won't screw with things for no reason. He will only change some basics that are necessary.

There are very few tuners that even care about this platform.

So you pay a certain amount but you will still have to go to a dyno and then you will still have to decide on the $200 an hour dyno tune later if you want to know whether or not you got your moneys worth.

Otherwise, start a new thread and request the names of tuners that have provided acceptable mail order tunes, then take a poll to see who votes for them.

Talk to Swazo, Fastcoog (I think it was him) and myself we all took our cars tothe "best" tuner in town...luckily out of the 3 I walked out with it still running.

There are very few tuners that know what a contour is let alone tune them.

Plus...you'll pay almost 100/hr in dyno time!!! then tuning on top...if you are paying less...good luck with the car.

I wouldn't use anyone but Tom Pretty soon he will have tuned the top 3 hp Contour's...on this site anyway!!!
