I was thinking that also... but the 2000 sticker I quoted listed $23K... I don't think people get paid $7000 more than they did in 2000, but I could be wrong (I didn't have a "normal" job back then).

I dunno about how accurate this is, but the inflation calculator came up with this:

What cost $23000 in 2000 would cost $25542.38 in 2005.

I stand corrected. It is closer to $25K than $30K. I was talking out my ass when I came up with those figures. Didn't feel like doing the research. :p

Its not idiotic. Matt R, send me a PM with your email address. I have a high resolution photo of my old 2000 CSVT window sticker and I can send scans of the window stickers of two different 1999 SVTs I own now (identical cars). I also have a 1996 LX Window sticker - but you're probably not interested in that!

ok forget that, i just looked at the one kim posted.
it is on there.

i also noticed between 98 and 2000 some of the options changed.
in 98 it cost $595 for the moonroof, in 2000 it was free.
in 98 the smokers package was free and in 2000 it was $15
fugged up.

LOL. Actually, it is a safety feature and I think Volvo was one of the first to use them. Basically, the design of the seat prevents you from sliding under your safety belt in the event of a front end collision. Hence, anti-submarine (anti going under).
