yup

ya i can't let my eng/trans go for less than 1800$ at that price, the swap wouldnt cost much more :)

Yea, I think we are just looking for a back to stock thing. Not a lot of money to be thrown around. I would really like to stay in Contours for my next vehicle and this could be it.

your lucky im' broke. this thing is right down the road and i need a project to make some cash on. if you get a stock motor (CSVT#49 has his) i can do the swap for real cheap, will take a weekend.

Just giving you guys this heads up for a $550 SVT I saw while browsing craigslist. No idea on the condition of the body, blown motor. Good for a 3 liter swap or a part out.

Figure it was worth mentioning for any of you who are looking for a project.

special lol at the 2.6 DOHC. Must have been an ultra rare option :D

I'm looking for something like this to put my excellent running 2.5L in, but I'm staying away from 98's. I don't want to deal with the wiring issues that come with them

As mentioned above, I'm keeping it for something good.

I'll see how much he wants for it.

More then you want to spend with all the powder coating and new parts on it. Probably looking at $800-1000. Responded to your PM though.

i'm having trouble getting 1200 for my dyno proven 3L, ready to drop in. probably a good idea to keep it.

darkblue, your gonna pay about 500$ for that shell, 500$ for a 3L, and something like 150$ in fluids and the minimum amount of gaskets you'll need. plus if you gotta pay someone to install it, that adds up. either way your not gonna get into a running SVT for under 1500$. if you want me to look at that SVT with you i will. you could always get another 2.5L from a regular v6 and swap the cams and intakes onto the new engine and that'd be the same as an svt engine. pm me if you need somene to do the swap, i have little work lately and would have the time to do it, for a good price.

The ad is already down. Looks like it's sold boys.

I am not gonna buy another contour till I can find a t-green SVT.... but I am broke till after the holidays anyways, so yeah.... I guess you are right TRicker

sorry one of you guys couldnt get it.

I haven't really been looking since I'm not to the point where I am going to pull my motor. I still need to test fit some turbo piping and get Joey the marked up pipes so he can modify it to work with the recirc valve I spec'd.

Mine is for sale, ready to go. Doesnt NEED anything. Some things i would fix...

P.s. Just bought the test pipe for it...
