yup

...Right now im thinking about an '84 944. I really like the looks and style...

How do you like the astronomical repair bills? I'd advise against a rig like that if you're doing it on anything near a shoestring budget. Parts are exorbitant.

For a daily driver, I would at least try to find a car built in the 90's.

Sound advice. If you go older, select a platform that's solid and has had years of R&D put into it. Take a Crown Vic or a Town Car, for example. Real solid cars that have been around for years (the designs in question date back to 1979 and 1980, respectively. Both are powered by the venerable 302 Windsor, which goes back to the Sixties, and have proven AOD transmissions.

Elraido, this thing can get to any lake. Which means it can get to any fish.

3.0L and LSD SVT

That tops it, huh? I kind of figured that someone who has an interest in many different cars, as I do, would perhaps pick a different model altogether. I sometimes think about making a change. For example, I just found a 1985 Chrysler Laser XE Turbo with 15K orig on it for $4500. If I didn't have two cars, I could jump right into something like that. And it would be even easier if there was a little negotiating room.

Nope... '83s had some sort of suspension issue.

Im thinking about trying to fix the GM and selling the Mystique. I would then save up so that I can pay cash for that CV in Florida... Ugh...decisions decisions..

Edit: But then I have also been thinking about this: http://contour.org/ceg-vb/showthread.php?t=32048

But as I said before I dont think im going to buy another one of these cars.

I am thinking more this. Are these basically WRX's? Not sure what Saab is. I don't know why I am looking for cars like this when I know what I am going to be getting in a few weeks. The waiting is killing me.

That car shares nothing with the Superpoo. The 9-2X, on the other hand, is a rebadged WRX in Saab trim. GM was the common denominator in that deal.

I suppose you're going to be tightlipped and coy about your new car? You buying someone's three liter after all?

blackcoog is working on one. He still needs to get the car from the shipping company though.
