Called a local Jag dealer for this and they quoted me a price of $39.95. Can anyone post a pic of this badge on your car. I remember seeing one but I searched and can't find it. Might have even been a group buy thread. And the price seems too high. I thought I read someone say they paid about $5 somewhere.

Pretty sure people get it from a custom BMW Website, where you can type whatever you want.

I just deleted that site from my favorites not long ago. I think it was like bimminian.com or something.

why put a badge at all really, if I personally wanted the earth to know I had a fast car, I'd have picked something other than a domestic mid sized sedan.

save 40 bucks and keep it sleeper

First, you'd have to have a fast car.

I have one I'll sell. I for sure didn't pay $5. I think it was $20.

Stop right there. I think I see the answer to the question you pose. Personally, me likey the 3.0 badge. And no, the badge is not about saying I have a fast car.

I agree that you would first have to have a fast car to say so. And I don't. But at least it runs. Pretty well I might add. As a matter of fact, there is happiness inside my pants whenever I start it up.

I have one I'll sell.

Will shoot you a pm later.

that's all and good, but I'm still entitled to my opinion.

as a person who's taken more :censored::censored::censored::censored: from this car than most, I personally see the primary point of owning a 'tour to be the "sleeper" effect.

nobody expects this platform to do what it will, but you go ricin' it out with a bunch of "big engine" "super powerfull" badges and that point goes out the window. unless of course your only trying to street race uninformed children.

thats just my 0.2

[edit] buy that one from todd then. better your money go to a member than some company

Yep, you know those OEM Jaguar badges are super ricey.

Big engine? It's an :censored::censored::censored::censored:ing 3 liter for christ sakes! In other words, you went from one of the smallest V6 ever made to a slightly less small V6. :nonono:

whatever, your missing my point. what I'm getting at is that badge was never found on this car. in fact, no displacement badge was ever on this car. only V6 or 24V.

so effectively, what your doing is the same as a kid witha GTR badge on a 240SX, or an Acura badge on a civic. yeah, those guys might actually have those engines in those cars, but it's still just showing off.

Personally i think the 3.0 badging looks nice. Plus the only people who would even know this car didnt have a 3.0L stock is the CEG community. As you guys should know, not a whole lot of people even know what a CSVT is.

(of course excluding people in michigan where there are a million of em)

((ok we'll say thousands of them :) ))

You ever see mazda's 1.8 liter V6? NOW that's tiny. and No I dont mean the BP 1.8 liter inline 4 cylinder, they seriously made a 1.8 liter V6. Someone swapped one into an Escort GT, it was awesome.

I wanna see that

the motor is a v6 that came in the mazda MX3. The swap is basically the same as doing a KL swap into an escort, as the engines are almost identical. You use a Probe or MX3 subframe, shift linkage, condensor, a couple other random things and a tranny. The 1.8L V6 can bolt in in place of the 2.5 V6 that was available in the probe and later MX3s. Of course the preferred swap was the 2.5L KLZE that you could get out of a JDM MX3, which gave you ~200 hp right off the bat. My last escort was a KLZE swapped escort. Pop the hood and it looks pretty much identical to a V6 probe or V6 MX3.

thats pretty sweet. a probe gt engine in a mkII escort would probably be faster than a svt 'tour wouldn't it? whats the curb weight on one of those?
