Be Gentle I'm New Here
Last thursday on the way home my car started to feel like it would not come out of second gear and there was a slight clicking noise coming from the engine bay, then it started stalling at stop lights. My only recourse localwas the ford dealership. They told me the usual $70 diagnostic fee and I got a ride home from a friend. I got a call the next afternoon to tell me it was the timing belt, tensioner and valve cover. That would $550, and I agreed to have it replaced.
I waited until monday and left a voicemail. A couple hours later I got a response back saying that they order a new serpentine belt and other misc parts for me (without authorization). They called me back about a half an hour later with a quote of $260.
It's one week later and after many voicemails they haven't responded to I contacted the service manager. After complaining to him for about a minute or two he put me on hold and the woman I have been dealing with the whole time picked up the phone and told me the last part just came in today. She added to my happiness by saying that it *should* be done by tommorrow. My response was "So it's possible?" "Possibly".
At this point I'm pissed so I just called ford customer relations and logged a complaint with the dealership. I am told my complaint will be forwarded to the "customer relations manager".
Long story short:
My car has been sitting for 1 week.
No/slow response to voicemails.
They seem to be ordering parts without authoirziation
I'm 21, Am I ever going to buy a ford car again?
I am stuck with a $30/day rental car on a tight budget
