I am buying mirko splitter mold

hey guys, sorry but been super busy.

i spent some time thinking this here and there.

svt4stv still has the mold purchased from Mirko but now he has it for sale. If I remember correctly he decided to go with a new mold and the new splitters will be manufactured in China. So it will be a few months until any are available. I think if someone wants them in C/F they will have to make them themselves. :(

yes i still have the mold.
yes its for sale if someone wants to buy it.
yes the splitters will be made in china.
yes they will be available in carbon fiber

couldnt get an american shop to make a new mold?

the new mold is made here, by the company. they send the mold to china for production. this company is HUGE. they have literally thousands of bumpers, skirts, hoods, etc.. sitting in their warehouse! to mass produce that many parts would cost way more than having it done in china. they know what theyre doing. they wouldnt have them made on the other side of the world if it would be more cost effective/easier to make them here. people whine about stuff costing $300. can you imagine if they were made here?? probably double that price! anyone here looking to spend $600 on a splitter??

im getting the info together right now. id rather not waste the original mirko mold but i guess the new one will be better. although it will add to the price of the splitters. at least another $50 or so.

Not to hijack this, but that's incorrect. It made could be made here and sold for the same price, but the company's profit margin would be lower. That is, you can't pay an American 17 cents per hour for skilled labor. :nonono:

They'll always charge as much as the market will bear, even though it cost them like 20 bucks to produce in China and 200 in a First World country.

When are you expecting to have these by?

Will they be vacuum bagged?
