Idea for the system.

Alright, I'd hate to be an *******...but please take it to PM's? I REALLY don't want my thread locked.

when someone personally insults me, i'm gonna answer. I don't care who he/she is or in who's thread it was said.

No, no dents in my SVT. Only been the bodyshop a few times: rear-ended, resprays rear bumper for a hit run and parking lot damage and the rear lock delete.

Never and still don't have a dent there, you must be talking about someone else's SVT.

Now the beater on the other hand, yes, it had dents. Front driver's quarter, big dent.

The beaten up comment - Chris, the rear is rusting. A person that cared for the car, accidents or whatever, would never let it rust! I may need to get my rear bumper resprayed right now, but for hell, the SVT is not rusting. In other words, a mechanical problem, such as an alignment or fixing a tie rod, or something similar, should have been completed. But it seems to me you did not, thus the dig at you.

As for the calendar dig, hahaha! I was never in it as I was a judge. How could I remain impartial if I participated?!?

Please Chris, get real, admit the car was not in the best of shape and move on. You got bored of the car and neglected it and sold it cheap. I got a bit bored with my SVT and let her get a little ragged, but damn man, not like you. NO RUST HERE.

That's it, I'm done. Now, if there is more grief, take it to PMs, as this thread has gotten off topic enough.

I'm not taking anything to pm's. You're the one who started this whole thing. Take a shot at me and something i worked very hard for and think i'm gonna eat it?? Then tell me to take it to pm's?? haha, you sir should practice a little bit of what you preach!

I've publicly stated many times i wasn't happy with the condition of the car. YOU need to stop running your mouth. Don't tell me what i did and didn't care for. Since when are you an authority on anything anyway??

I've also publicly said that i didn't have a fire under my @$$ for it anymore....which was one of the reasons behind selling. There's nothing to admit. You're making it sound like i drove around crashing into stuff and that is simply not the case. The reality is i was sitting on a crap load of money i had saved and i was either gonna have a custom paint job/built motor and turbo or a new car. I decided i didn't want to blow it all on a 7 year old car that i'd never get a return on.

I don't know where there is rust...cept maybe for the tail light damage...but again i'm sorry i wan't able to get that fixed enough for you to be satisfied

If there's another spot i didn't know about then please point it out.

seems anyone else who's car isn't up to your personal standards beats on it. Ha. A little narcissistic are we?? Hypocritical too...since the blemishes that are on the car were either out of my control or accidental...which is perfectly fine for you but not for me

the car is mechanically sound, everything else was disclosed to the buyer before hand. And replacement parts for anything that was out of order were given. glen is obviously not unhappy with it.

and now that i regret selling it, if i do end up with a red one like i'm considering i'll have yet another car that's nicer than yours....

BTW, yesterday a bird flew in front of my volvo while i was driving and i hit it....does that mean i beat up my new car too??

and i hope i find a picture of your dented car....close the thread if you want. no matter what you do or say, you're the one that's out of line here...

You know, I want to see the pic with this supposed dent. I haven't had ANY dents, other than what I have mentioned above, fixed.

I was making a comment because I am sick of the BS you keep on telling Glenn. Enough, the car has been SOLD.

SOLD.

We may disagree on many things, but the common fact is, Glenn owns the car and from what I can see, HE has been taking awesome care of it. In the limited time and and his limited budget, the car has seen some dramatic changes.

BTW, rust under the tailight. Rust on a car for a car guy is unacceptable. My SVT has ZERO rust, even with my hit and run and accident. Just because you were bored with the car doesn't mean you shouldn't fix items such as rust. An accident, fine, but why not correct the problems? Too me that is just a different form of beating or ragging on the car.

Even my old Scooby was in better shape than your Explorer. The car had a few dents, but everything worked. When parts were required to be replaced, they were. No matter the cost, suck it up and deal.

But, this thread seems to have run its course, now that it has been hijacked.

To remain impartial, Christine or Allen, please take appropriate actions, if necessary.

For some reason I feel way too accomplished for building a box.

^ The last posts/photos before going off topic.

Back OT:

I think you did a great job Glenn!
A few more parts for the trunk and another project will be completed.

I'm thinking of trying to figure out exactly how to redo the side liners with the black faux crushed leather I'm using. I'm not sure if it'd be overkill though.

Glenn, to redo my trunk floor I just used a piece of plywood, then used spray adhesive to tack on the original cloth from my old floor. Just a FYI in case you redo yours.

Yeah, I'm planning on building out the floor so I can put a hinged door on it to get to my spare tire. I can't do the floor until I get my box in there for a mock-up. Only hiccup is the box doesn't fir though the trunk side, but will fit through by the back seats...if I take all of that out again. So I decided to cut it in half and have two individual pieces to get in, and when it's in, screw it back together.

I hear that. I have a spare, somewhere under my system, but if I get a flat, it'd be easier to call for a tow than get to it. :blackeye:

moving along... the box looks good...and it will blend much better when the floor is in.

as far as the side liners...why don't you try and skin the stock cardboard floor i gave you and stick some fabric to that as a test? lol or you can test your might with fiberglass! i failed miserably, hence the standard sub box!

and you should get in touch with mike (69boss302) for one of those covers for the area inside where the reverse lights are.

please feel free to ignore my BS cause the car is sold, SOLD!

Not sure how that would really hold up.
I think the original flooring material would be the way to go. Just MO.

in all seriousness....you could probably pull them out and paint fiberglass resin straight onto them. make sure they're saturated and they should stiffen up real nice...then sand and you should have a nice surface to apply that fabric to. much easier than making molds and such...and the more i think about it the more i don't think they'll hold up too well if you try to pull the existing fabric off.

this is what I read after I translated it with my secret decoder ring...personally, I think it's a secret message to Glenn...;)

So, I got around to lopping the box in half. I guess when it was put together, measurements went askew. So I ultimately had to squeeze an inch off of the box wherever I could without compromising fitment with the large amp.

So, here it is:

Looks like we can transport the dead bodies in Glenn's trunk anymore. :(

Nice work!
