I dunno if this group buy does not go off I have half a mind to just PM Poncho or get ahold of him through ebay and just order the hood. I usually dislike unpainted carbon fiber but on a silfro... I dunno I think with a blacked out front mesh/ring and black hightowers it looks like pure sex. Like the one in the banner at the top of the forum. Or I could just get it done in silver CF... Argh, damn these tax returns!

I just inquired with Poncho as to the single price of a silver CF hood and his response was that he cannot use silver CF on these hoods as the material is too thin. So looks like it is regular CF or bust.

Well I wonder what's going on, cause when I asked him about it this, the reply I got...
Not that I know much about laying down carbon fiber, but it seems to me that thinner would lay down in the curves better but you’d have to use more layers to achieve the same thickness, part of the up pricing…?
Just another thought, if the silver is to thin to completely make it out of, then what about laying a single layer of silver on top and leave the bottom of the hood the regular c.f.?

Just think of rolling up in your silver frost CSVT sporting Silver Carbon Fiber Hood and Trunk... How trick would that be....?:drool:
Not that I know much about laying down carbon fiber, but it seems to me that thinner would lay down in the curves better but you’d have to use more layers to achieve the same thickness, part of the up pricing…?

Gas money alone would be close to the cost of shipping. I'd rather just have it shipped right to my door. Besides, if this ever happens it'll likely be after I've moved anyways.

Hey guys, sorry to tell you this but i'm gonna have to take my name off of the list. I need to get the mass of parts compiling in my garage installed, so the money I have is going towards that. I honestly can't put off not installing any longer. I REALLY want this hood, but it looks like I won't be able to swing the funds for it .
