if i only had pictures of the other junked svt's... you'd be done! ive seen at least one for every month!

Can we have one non-svt, not so perfect car, or is it limited to only those who have thousands upon thousands of dollars invested in their car? Come on, show some love for the average joes.........

It is typical that the cars in the calender are of the svt variety. It isn't a requirement however. Search for previous years calender pictures for a referance. All you need is an etraordinary pic of a clean contour or mistique.

No offense, but who wants to look at a "not so perfect car" for a whole month? When you open a calender usually you want to see things that are appealing to the eye.

exactly. the people who make it into the calendars worked very hard to get their cars looking the way they do. what would you rather see? a bone stock, rusted out 97 contour gl or a highly modified, low mileaged svt?

Kind words from a man that got his old/sold SVT in last year with hazed headlights.....got to love him  and to top that a guy on Cardomain has that pic as his background.....:laugh::laugh:

The overall scene generally matters more than the car. The car is only one small aspect of the photo. Background, appearance, attention to details, and of course a nice car all contribute to a winning photo.

There have been stock-looking regular Contours that have made the Calendar. TourDeForce is one that comes to mind.

As for cars: the Calendar typically includes at least one pre98 and at least one Mondeo. This year's calendar included two pre98s, a Mystique, and a Mondeo. It's still fair game though: the best pictures win.

I'd pay for a Junk Contour Calendar! :D Only as an accessory to a real 2009 though!

Look at this years calendar... there are a few non-SVT's in there. More so than previous years. Visible damage on the car will likely not get you voted in though. Get the car waxed and polished up if you want a good chance. Oh, and make sure the tires are clean. One picture slipped through this year with tires that were definitely brown.

And remember, look at the pictures from previous years. Its the best overall pictures that get in. There have been some amazing cars with rather poor pictures that just don't make it. If you aren't so good at photography, find a friend that is to help you!
