OK, I gotta stick up for the kid. So what if he's 16? He's 16 and got an SVT Contour, which I gotta say is probably not exactly a "cool" school-car anymore. He could have done the usual "Im buying the fast and furious Honda, yo!" thing, but he actually got a very respectable, nice car. And from the sound of it, he's got a very good "father figure" who is teaching him from the beginning to respect the car. I think he'll be fine, lay off the kid already....

Oh yeah......

NEED PICS!!

no need to stick up.. he's acting much more mature then most of the other 16 year old posting on ceg...

but, pics are still needed.. nowish.. kthanx

He took it because it's a fun car to drive. :)

now you got him where u want him , talk him into hooking u up with a 3L and a turbo. then ittl be real fun when he drives it.

nah, here's the thing though, it isn't too often that someone as young as you get's an SVT and finds CEG as well. I think the last youngest person with an SVT was about 17 and that seems like a year or so ago.

I got my svt when I was 17 but I didn't find the forums til about 6 months ago. Well I guess that you could say that I saved one....it was considered totaled when purchased.

But welcome to the forums. They are a ton of help and if you can get out and make it to a meet....do so. There is nothing better than putting faces with the names of the people on here. I've only been to a few but they are the way to go. Plus you'll have a blast.

Also as asked earlier...Where and how did your dad come across the car? I wouldn't consider them a rarity yet, but the CSVT's are getting close, especially when people have 2 or 3 sitting in the drive.

But again welcome to the forums.

Zack

yeah yeah yeah, ppl have been giving me a little hassle about the name, i dont care. i think its cool. i got the car at a lemon lot on dover air force base. real cheap too. i drove all up n down dover n couldnt single a single SVT. butr i saw contours all over the place. i deffinitely would like to get out to a meet sometime.

It's daylight and the car is home...go get us some shots.

yeah yeah yeah, i'll have some in the whos who section by the end of the day. tell me why dad killed the brake pads and rotors on the way home last night. 85 in 3rd gear.....and you all are telling me to drive safe n keep it in one piece.

:nonono: O.K. Maybe I'm feeling alittle crotchety this afternooon, but I'm calling B.S. on this whole thing.

Why don't you at least go to CarDomain and steal a picture of someone else's SVT?
