I haven't been around much lately but here are some pictures of my car from this year.

I call it the track slut because I put on 1/20th of the mileage on the car this year only on raods, the rest has been all at the track. Lapping and racing is what I've done with it this year, I might go to a drag strip before the year end to see if I can get some 1/4 mile numbers, curious to see what it can do.

Latest mod, got rid of the plastic tank that melted on me, put in a custom built double walled fuel cell that is baffled and placed so it will help lower the centre of gravity also help with the weight distrubion of the car (front and rear).

Brake ducts (using aircraft ducting which is the proper stuff to use)

Local GT cup race (where I melted the tank, I guess after running for 45 minutes on the limit at the track the exhaust gets hot enough to melt stuff away, not running the stock exhaust, there is a true dual setup, I am guessing header wrap on the exhaust would have been a good idea, but it gave me the excuse to get a fuel cell setup).

Getting towed home after the fuel tank incident(usually gets driven everywhere unless the track is more than 6-7 hours away).

Hopefuly I'll have some time to completely detail the car this weekend sometime and take her out for a proper photoshoot. I haven't washed it at all this year so it deserves a good detailing, it is covered in rubber getting flinged up at the track and I want to see it all shiney and clean for once.

Then the next mod is fitting 255 or 265's all around over winter ;)

I enjoy your updates. :) Keep it up and let me know if there is anything you need weather it be parts or even just information.

Nice! How were you doing compared to the other cars in the photo?

That day, I finished fourth. Yellow S2k was first it is supercharged track dedicated car, red mustang second, white e30 bmw third, me fourth. Considering I was out with slicks while it was raining I am pretty happy with the result. Finishing in front of couple of track only fast cars is always a good feeling too.

Thank you. Thanks for the offer as well, at this point the anything I do to the car is always something custom and I am blessed to have people with a lot of racing background and knowledge around me.

Cool update, I didn't know you had begun wheel-to-wheel racing with it. Can you describe and show some more detail on your brake duct setup, from what you did to attach to the fog openings, the routing from the LCA, and how you're attaching to the knuckle (homemade diffuser or just pointed the duct at the middle?). I considered it a while ago but then just upgraded to higher spec pads, which has been good enough without cooling for my casual tracking. I'd greatly appreciate some more pics! Thanks.

I can try to get pictures for you sometime soon. They are attached to a custom made bracket that sits right in palce of the foglight, they use the same mounts are the foglights so no mods to the bumper are neccessary. There is a bracket made that sits around the caliper that points to the rotor hat/centre which is where you want any sort of cooling duct pointing to. It doesn't go over the LCA. There is a hose clamp which holds the middle of the ducting to the frame of the car as well.

I run high temp pads and I put the ducts on because of pad life and rotor life. I was cracking the rotors and chewing up pads in no time. They start getting costly when you have to get new rotors and pads after 2 days at the track, but the pads are aggresive as well and outbraking most of the people on the field is quite fun. You make up a lot of time because of being able to brake later.

This might be my favourite Contour that I've never seen. Good job representing the platform!

Thank you. Quite the compliment given that exterior is stock other than the mirko, wheels and the drop ;)

...and if so, how'd you get a set in 4x108?

They are indeed Kosei K1 wheels and 4x108. They might even be up for sale soon since I will be shopping for 17x9 wheels.
